Job Description

Srindhya Global is seeking a Logistics & Freight Coordinator to own the freight booking and shipment tracking function for all active trades. Our buyers expect their cargo to arrive on time that expectation is met by this role. You will book vessels on purchase order release, coordinate with freight forwarding partners across multiple trade lanes, and ensure our buyers are never left wondering where their shipment is.

Responsibilities

  • Book sea freight and air freight for all active shipments across GCC, Southeast Asia, UK, USA, and Africa trade lanes vessels booked immediately on purchase order confirmation, not after documentation is finalised.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port agents to confirm vessel schedules, container availability, cut-off times, and port-of-loading requirements.
  • Coordinate with the documentation and compliance team to ensure all paperwork is complete and submitted before the vessel departure window no shipment moves without a complete document pack.
  • Provide proactive shipment updates to the trade team and, where required, directly to buyers at vessel booking, departure, and estimated arrival stages.
  • Track all active shipments from port of loading to port of destination flag any delays, port congestion issues, or documentation exceptions immediately and without waiting to be asked.
  • Maintain accurate freight cost records for pricing reference, buyer invoicing, and cost benchmarking.
  • Research freight rates and carrier options across all active trade lanes to ensure competitive logistics pricing on every order.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2–4 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or a closely related supply chain operations role.
  • Practical knowledge of sea freight operations container types (FCL/LCL), shipping terms, port cut-off procedures, and standard freight documentation.
  • Established relationships with freight forwarding partners in India is a strong advantage particularly for lanes serving the GCC or Southeast Asia.
  • Strong organisational skills you are managing multiple active shipments in parallel and coordinating between carriers, customs agents, documentation teams, and buyers simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working to firm vessel deadlines without becoming reactive proactive coordination is the standard, not the exception.
